Getting set for Christmas

Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas; I love the drinks on Christmas Eve, I love piling my plate high on Christmas Day and I especially love sleeping it off. But getting ready for Christmas is such a hassle and so expensive, that is not fun. Not just the gifts, but all the messy stuff like the decorations, tree, wrapping etc. Last Christmas, I left it all to the last minute so nothing looked quite right and it felt so much more expensive buying it all in December; eating into my festive party fund.

This year I’m going to do things differently. I’m buying it all online and starting early. No long shopping trips with all the queues, no last minute panics as nothing matches. I’ve been chatting with our Christmas buyer, Crystal, and she has kindly assembled my Christmas theme.  Job done!

Starting with the tree first I’ve gone with a classic green, fibre optic tree standing 6 foot tall. It’s bushy with lots of hanging space and I love the brightness of it. The best bit though is I don’t need to buy any lights. Next was the decoration. Traditional is back in fashion, so I decided to go with a 6ft garland, giving that traditional green and red look, with pine cones and berries. I always love lots of decoration so I’ve bought a handful of these. Then to finish it off, we put a gold star on the top of the tree.

So that’s the tree done! Now on to the gifts.....
